With bed bugs on the rise, this webinar session will guide you in helping your residents identify preventive measures, and address problems related to bed bug infestation. Attendees will learn about the importance of implementing a housing management and service coordinator team approach to preventing, assessing, and intervening in the event of bed bug infestation, along with strategies to make combating infestation a smooth process for residents.

Participants will be able to:

  1. Increase their knowledge about bedbugs
  2. Understand the role of the service coordination in preventing bedbug infestations
  3. Identify prevention strategies
  4. Enhance their awareness of Integrated Pest Control Management (IPM)

This class offers 1.5 hours of continuing education credits.

Instructor:
Ruben Rivera Jackman – a MNPL, speaker, trainer and nonprofit leadership consultant has an accomplished 30+ year career as a nonprofit leader with practical experience in, and solid understanding of, a diverse range of management, program development and service delivery applications. Mr. Rivera-Jackman has a passion for working with and advocating on behalf of older adults and has a natural ability of providing instruction and training for adult learners. After nearly 12 years of service as a Senior Resident Services Manager at the King County Housing Authority (KCHA), Mr. Rivera-Jackman has been offered the opportunity to serve as the Director of Resident Supports and Services for the Senior Housing Assistance Group (SHAG), one of the biggest and leading affordable senior housing providers in Western Washington.
