You may not be taking advantage of all your member benefits? If you have a question on federal regulations, HUD handbooks or other issues, you can call AHMA and we will research the answer for you, or find the right person to refer you to. We also monitor proposed federal legislation and regulations on your behalf, and provide comments to your elected representatives and/or agency officials. If you are experiencing a problem with your local HUD office or other agency, or have an issue that you would like addressed, AHMA-PSW's Liaison Committee can represent your concerns to the appropriate entity. As a member of AHMA, you automatically become a subscriber member of the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA), our national association headquartered in Washington, D.C. NAHMA interacts with members of Congress and federal agency officials on a daily basis. We keep you updated on NAHMA's activities through the AHMA Express; however, you are also eligible to attend NAHMA's two national meetings a year at a nominal charge, or to order additional subscriptions to NAHMA's monthly newsletter.
