As experienced affordable housing management professionals know, the LIHTC program is the primary production tool for creating new affordable housing properties across every state in the country, and it is also the most important tool for rehabilitating and preserving the nation’s existing stock of aging affordable housing.

*The National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA)’s Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) certification program has been named a 2018 Silver Power of (A) Award winner in the Power to Create a Competitive Workforce category by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

SHCM Requirements: Participants are required to have 12 hours of LIHTC related instruction in order to apply for the SHCM certification. The hours may consist of a multitude of topics as long as they are LIHTC related and must be provided by a NAHMA approved provider (any Affordable Housing Management Associations).

This is an in-person training. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m.; the class will start promptly at 8:30 a.m.

***** PLEASE bring a laptop for Day-2 of the SHCM training, November 15, 2023. There will be a test in the 2nd half of the class where the laptop will be needed. *****

Registration Payment & Cancellation Policy

Payment Policy: Payment for course registration is due prior to the scheduled class date. If a registrant is registered within 3 business days of the scheduled training, payment is required to be made via credit card. Send an email to training@ahma-psw.org or call the office at 1.866.698.2462 to make payment by credit card.

Cancellation Policy: For a full refund or class credit, cancellation needs to be completed 7 days prior to the scheduled training date by via email to training@ahma-psw.org. You will be charged full registration and class credit will not be permitted if cancellation is not done within the stated period.
