Instructor: Susie Lein – Kimball, Tirey, & St. John

One of the most important aspects of any eviction case is the notice that the eviction is based upon because it gives you the right to evict someone from your property, however theses notices are often prepared incorrectly, and served with errors that could have been prevented. Failure to comply with every rule that applies to the notice, and the service of the notice, can end your case before it even starts. A valid notice must have specific language and information and each type of notice has different requirements that must be included.

This course will cover which notice should be used and the most common and simple mistakes in both the preparation of the notice and the service of the notice. Armed with this information, managers and property owners will know what they need to do, and what to avoid, to make sure that you have the best case possible when filing an eviction with the court. This course will also take you through the eviction process from filing to judgment.
