    • In light of recent emergencies and natural disasters, HUD issued a disaster notice for Owners and Management Agents of FHA/HUD Insured or HUD Assisted Multifamily Properties, which can be accessed here.
    • This notice includes information and resources to assist you in the event that your residents and/or property is impacted by a disaster. HUD has issued Notice H 20-06, Exclusion from Annual Income of Temporary Employment from the U.S. Census Bureau. Please inform your residents of this. Previously, residents may have declined employment with the Census Bureau due to the perception that this income will impact their monthly rent.
    • HUD has issued a memo on the allocation of funding from the CARES Act. In the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), PBRA programs were granted an additional $1 billion of additional appropriations. This new appropriation is to cover the expected decrease in tenant rents due to loss or reduction of income of our residents. In addition, the funds will also accommodate increases in vacancy payment claims due to COVID-19 related delays in moving-in new residents. Click here to view the Update on Allocation of Funding from the CARES Act. Also, click here to access the COVID-19 Q&A for office of Multifamily Housing Stakeholders.
  • As a result of the recent Midwest flooding, and Gulf Coast tropical storm, HUD has sent out the attached Disaster Reminder Notice regarding the importance of preparedness, and procedures to be followed in the event of property damage or resident displacement resulting from a disaster. If you have questions or need clarification, please reach out to your Account Executive.
