  • CTCAC has announced $2 million in Section 811 project-based rental assistance has become available under Round 1 of the Section 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) program. Units provided this rental assistance would need to be occupied by PRA-eligible tenants no later than September 30, 2020. PRA is a collaboration between the California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA), Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (TCAC) to provide project-based rental assistance targeted to Medicaid beneficiaries with disabilities, ages 18-61, who have resided in a long-term health care facility for at least 90 days and desire to return to community living, and persons ages 18-61 living with a developmental disability who are at risk of institutionalization. Applications are accepted on an over-the counter first-come-first-served basis. For more information, see the Round 1 NOFA.
  • HUD’s Office of Multifamily Housing Programs has posted the “Final TRACS GRC Industry Notification.” The attached notification includes recommended next steps regarding the retro-active gross rent changes (GRC) issue.
