Please find below, four recently published notices from HUD’s Office of Public and Indian Housing, titled PH HCV and Native Programs COVID-19 Waiver Summery ChartAddressing Tenant Concerns Regarding Rent and the Temporary Suspension of Evictions for Nonpayment of RentCARES Act-HCV Program Administration Fees; and Implementation of Supplemental Guidance to the Federal FY2020 Operating Fund Appropriations.

  • The PH-HCV and Native Programs COVID-19 Waiver Summery Chart tracks Public Housing and Housing Choice Vouchers CARES Act waivers, alternative requirements and the availability period for each.  The PH-HCV and Native Programs COVID-19 Waiver Summery Notice is attached and can be found here.
  • The Addressing Tenant Concerns Regarding Rent and the Temporary Suspension of Evictions for Nonpayment of Rent flyer provides Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing, and Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation participants with information and resources about paying rent during the COVID-19 national emergency.  The Addressing Tenant Concerns Regarding Rent and the Temporary Suspension of Evictions for Nonpayment of Rent flyer is attached and can be found here.
  • The CARES Act-HCV Program Administration Fees Notice describes the administrative fee portion (totaling $850 million) for Housing Choice Voucher Programs, including the Mainstream Program, as well as HUD’s allocation methodology. The notice establishes new eligible activities to prevent, prepare for, or respond to coronavirus that may be funded with the administrative fee amounts.  The CARES Act-HCV Program Administration Fees Notice is attached and can be found here.

  • Today, HUD’s Office of Multifamily Housing released an updated COVID-19 Questions and Answers Guidance (last updated on April 14 ).  A significant portion of the questions on the CARES Act and Additional Resources Available as well as on Asset Management have been updated with new guidance.  This includes updates to questions on Financing Requirements, Implementation of Forbearance Under the Cares Act and Moratorium on Evictions under the Cares Act.
