Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM™) certification has been developed by the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) especially for management professionals involved with properties developed and operated under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program.

The SHCM is designed by management professionals for management professional to ensure they have attained the knowledge, experience and competence required to excel in the housing credit property management industry. To maximize their careers, managers in the affordable housing industry must be able to demonstrate their experience and expertise in mastering the complex requirements of the LIHTC program.

This 12-hour course is comprised of three (3) 4-hour interactive Zoom training sessions. Participants will receive the Zoom training link and electronic handouts via email two (2) business days prior to the training.

Online Proctor Exam:
Upon completing the (3) 4-hour training sessions, participants will be provided with a voucher to take the online SHCM exam. The exam is a closed book, proctored exam. Upon receiving the voucher, participants will utilize an online proctor (OLP) in order to schedule and take the exam.  Participants are responsible for their own computer/laptop to take the exam and must have access to a webcam and microphone to use with the OLP. You will receive immediate pass/fail results, once completed. The exam that must be taken within 4 weeks of completing the training.

Meeting Details
The meeting details will be sent out to registrants in a separate email, no later than 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the training date. Please be sure to check your junk mail for any emails from training@ahma-psw.org.

 

Registration Payment & Cancellation Policy

Payment Policy: Payment for course registration is due prior to the scheduled class date. If a registrant is registered within 3 business days of the scheduled training, payment is required to be made via credit card. Send an email to training@ahma-psw.org or call the office at 1.866.698.2462 to make payment by credit card.

Cancellation Policy: For a full refund or class credit, cancellation needs to be completed 7 days prior to the scheduled training date by via email to training@ahma-psw.orgYou will be charged full registration and class credit will not be permitted if cancellation is not done within the stated period.
