Many of our AHMA-PSW members have properties in the City of Los Angeles. Please be advised there are new legal notice requirements for the Just Cause Ordinance.
- All legal notices, including notice to pay rent or quit, must be mailed to the Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD) within three (3) business days of service to the notice on the tenant.
- All notices must now list the number of bedrooms in the notice
- If a property is subject to the new Just Cause Ordinance, landlords must also post a notice of the protections as prescribed by LAHD in an accessible common area of the property.
