Burnout is an emerging and prolonged response to chronic interpersonal stressors on the job. As working professionals, we deal with continuous and constant exhaustion, feelings of cynicism and detachment from the job, and oftentimes an overwhelming sense of ineffectiveness and lack of accomplishment. This session will engage attendees to learn about, experience and react to burnout scenarios in a social context; thus involving them through the various phases of a professional’s conception of both self and others. Strategies for dealing and successfully coping with burnout will be shared and modeled throughout the session.
