HUD COVID- 19 FAQ Collaboration Call

Due to the limited number of lines, please limit webinar attendance to 1 person per company. We would like as many companies as possible to have an opportunity to participate in the live webinar. The live session will be recorded and made available to view on AHMA-NCH, AHMA-PSW, and HUD’s YouTube channel.

Join us for an informal opportunity to interface with the San Francisco HUD office in a collaboration of efforts. HUD Staff will discuss in detail the application of the COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s). We will also answer your questions related to managing during these challenging times. We want to hear your experiences, and how HUD can best support you. Also, take this opportunity to share what is happening on the front lines of your property. About the Speakers:

Ms. Janéa Jackson, AICP, LEED AP BD+C joined Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in September 2018 as a Multifamily West Asset Management Division Director. In that role, she oversees a portfolio of FHA multifamily mortgage insurance properties, Section 202 and 811 Capital Advance properties, and Section 8 Project Based properties located in California, Guam, Marianas Islands, Hawaii, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, and Alaska. Her 50 staff are stationed in four offices in Los Angeles, CA, San Francisco, CA, Honolulu, HI, and Las Vegas, NV.
Prior to joining HUD, Ms. Jackson served as the Real Estate Portfolio Planning Chief for GSA in Auburn, WA, managing the strategy for 102 federally-owned buildings and 406 leases in Region 10; and led facility planning, master planning, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and encroachment planning products and services for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps in Honolulu, HI, Iwakuni, Japan and Twenty nine Palms, CA. Ms. Jackson has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Silvia Cuellar has over 40 years of experience in the arenas of HUD insured and subsidized multifamily housing management. As a Branch Chief in the San Francisco Multifamily Office, Silvia Currently oversees a team of 8 employees. Combined, they monitor nearly 70,224 units in over 700 properties that participate in various HUD subsidy and/or HUD insurance programs throughout Hawaii, So. California, and a portion of No. California. Silvia joined HUD as a Project Manager in 2004. During her 15 years of service, Silvia has worked as a Project Manager, No. California’s Performance Based Contract Administrator (PBCA) Coordinator, shared the coordination of the Service Coordinator Program, and served as a Supervisory Project Manager. Prior to joining HUD, Silvia explored the government subsidized multifamily housing industry at various levels of property management, and finally served for four years as an Asset Manager of Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation (SHCC), a subsidiary of the Housing Authority of the City of Austin, Texas, and one of the pilot PBCAs of the nation.

Jim Raymond started with the HUD San Francisco Multifamily Office in 2011 as a Senior Underwriter in the Production Division and transferred to the Asset Management Division in 2017 as a Branch Chief. Prior to HUD, Mr. Raymond was a Project Manager with GSA. He is also a licensed Architect.

Gwen Kelleher joined HUD in June 1990, transferring to the San Francisco Multifamily Office from the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Federal Contract Compliance and Employment Development Training in San Francisco, CA. She has over 32 years of Federal service.

Julie Eklund has over 30 years of Federal service and has worked with a number of Single Family and Multifamily HUD programs. She currently oversees HUD Multifamily staff as a Branch Chief for the Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV offices, as well as in the San Francisco Multifamily Office. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area from New York six years ago and doesn’t miss the winters at all.

Angela Morrison lives in San Francisco, CA and started her Federal government career with the Department of Labor in 1986 and transferred to HUD in 1988. She has 31 years of experience working in the San Francisco Multifamily Office and has worked her way up from secretary to Program Assistant, Loan Servicer, Project Manager, Senior Account Executive, and finally to her current position of Branch Chief. Angela has a B.A. in Public Housing from the University of Phoenix.
