  • On June 14, 2018, the Office of Multifamily Housing Programs issued new answers to a number of recently asked questions on transferring budget authority under Section 8(bb).  8bb FAQs 06-14-2018 Updated   The new FAQs address questions about 8(bb) transfers in which Owner B requests a 20-year renewal contract of Contract B under Option Two on the basis of a budget.

  • NAHMA is holding an Advocacy Challenge for all AHMA’s during the August Congressional recess.  While Congress is adjourned your members will be in district, and this is a great chance to make them aware of the challenges we face, and the great things we are doing. A NAHMA flyer is attached and more details will follow. AHMA Advocacy Challenge Flyer   Let’s prove again that AHMA-PSW is THE AHMA.
  • REAC has announced a Demonstration Project using moisture detection to determine where mold may be an issue before it appears.  The full announcement may be viewed here.
  • HUD has announced that they are currently seeking comments on the Disparate Impact Final Rule.  Our comments are very important to ensure that the “final” Final Rule makes sense while providing equal access to all.  The Federal Register Notice may be viewed at 2018-13340
