AHMA-PSW’s Weekly Affordable Housing News 06/14/18


  • On June 4, 2018, the new ineligible area maps for the Rural Development Multi-Family Housing programs will be updated to the USDA Income and Property Eligibility Site. All properties for new applications must be located in an eligible rural area based on the new eligibility maps. However, a property that is located in an area being changed from rural to non-rural may be approved under the certain circumstances.
  • USDA’s Rural Housing Service (RHS) announced that it is accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2018 Community Facilities Technical Assistance and Training Grant Program. The Agency is encouraging applications that will support recommendations made in the Rural Prosperity Task Force report to help improve life in rural America. Applications are due by July 2, 2018.
  • National Housing Trust Fund (NHTF) Riverside Workshop date changed to Friday, June 22, 2018:  To accommodate the high demand of attendees, the Riverside NHTF workshop that was scheduled for Thursday, June 21, 2018 has been moved to Friday, June 22, 2018Those that registered for the June 21, 2018 workshop will need to re-register for the new date.  The revised date and room number are:  Friday, June 22, 2018 (new), 8:30 am – 3:00 pm, Riverside California Department of General Services 3737 Main St, Suite 200, Highgrove Room (new) Riverside, CA  92501 Register Here
