Staying engaged and informed is extremely important, and we connect everyone in our industry to the tools and resources they need to succeed. Every year we host a Conference & Expo in Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada. Your safety is a top priority and therefore all scheduled Conference and Expos were cancelled for 2020.

We look forward to planning and seeing everyone at the annual Conference and Expo’s in 2021. These events will offer updates in the housing industry, legislative changes, latest training topics, Vendor Expos, and more.

Webinar: The Effects of Social Distancing on Older Adults

  • October 19, 2021 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The outbreak of COVID-19 may have been especially stressful for older adults and may contribute to increased feelings of loneliness. Many people continue to confine themselves to indoor spaces and communicate with their loved ones only through the use of electronic tools. This may have a detrimental effect on mental health, especially for adults over the age of 65, who may be less comfortable using electronic devices. Social isolation in seniors has been linked to increased depression and suicidality, as well as to increased pro-inflammatory and decreased anti-viral immune responses.
After successfully completing this module, participants will be able to:

  • Enhance knowledge of behavioral issues associated with untreated mental health conditions
  • Increase awareness of treatment and medication options
  • Identify tips for addressing loneliness and depression
  • Understand the impact of social distancing and increased isolation on older adults
  • Explore strategies for improving mental and emotional health during Covid pandemic
